This was such a fun wedding for me. Definitely different in the sense that I didn’t have a second shooter, so I was shooting alone, and I flew to this wedding (I’ve flown before, but first time for a wedding!).
I was so well taken care of. I had a hotel room conveniently right beside the church, they provided me with my own set of wheels for the weekend. Audrey’s family even so sweetly included me in their family activities after the wedding as my flight didn’t leave until the next day. Of course I chose to say yes, because sitting in a hotel room by myself was getting a bit lonely.
I met Audrey years ago at Bible school, and Bruce is from my local area, so it was nice seeing so many familiar faces in the bridal party, and guests, besides the fact that it’s always fun when I know the couple personally!!
I actually shot most of the detail photos the afternoon before, because I had time, and I knew it would be dark when they were getting ready. Audrey’s family owns a farm, so I just had to incorporate those grain bins!
Audrey also requested photos with the tractor they used as they left the reception. Scroll on down to see!!
It was a beautiful September day in Nebraska that was just showing hints of fall, and it was perfect!!
We started their first look the moment it was possibly light enough!
Audrey specifically requested a photo like the one below, and I love to make sure those requests happen!
We took family photos before bridal party photos due to our timeframe, and some of the family needing to be at the church early. It worked out quite well!
I always try to take a photo of both sets of parents at weddings – it doesn’t always happen, but I love it when it does!
Bruce and Audrey greeted their guests at the cake table as they came through for dessert.
Congratulations, Bruce and Audrey!!! It was such an honor to be part of your special day!!!!
