What a lovely March Day this was. Probably one of the few weddings I’ve had this year where we didn’t think about the weather while shooting, it was neither cold nor hot.
We started the day with detail shots at Katie’s home, along with breakfast served to the bridesmaids as well. One of my favorite wedding day mornings. I felt so much inspiration from Katie’s bedroom, with all the wood and white, and the vintage wooden chair. Katie, her mom, sisters, and bridesmaids hung out in the living room and chatted and laughed while we did detail photos, and then we did their getting ready photos.
And the colors. This shade of blue is one of my absolute favorites. So gorgeous!!
Katie was such a chill bride. I loved it. Graceful, and unruffled, with such a gentle personality. Josiah seemed equally laid back, and they complimented each other perfectly.
They ended not up not being able to use the church they had rented for the ceremony so they divided their ceremony location in half and used it for the ceremony as well. Then they had their receiving line outside while they ceremony part was set back up for the food lines and to give more space for the reception. It worked out quite well, and it was a very enjoyable day.

Because Josiah loves crocks, the groomsmen bought everyone in the bridal party a pair of crocks, and yep, they wore them to the reception too. 🙂
They did a polaroid guest book. Everyone got their photo taken before they came inside, and then they taped their photo in the guest book and signed their name. I love unique guest book ideas like this.
And the food. Oh the food. Katie and Josiah met in Canada, so they served poutine as part of their meal. Poutine is french fries, covered in brown gravy, with cheese curds. Served with some of the best grilled chicken ever, and 2 choices of salad. It was unique, and so perfectly delicious!!!
And then they drove away under the fireworks. Such a fun ending to a beautiful day.
Congratulations, Katie and Si!! Wishing you all the happiness in the world as you begin your lives together.
